Motorola Reveals iTunes Phone
Posted :: Feb 14, 2005 by Haggs

Today, Motorola formally announced their latest cell phone, the E1060 coming to stores in Q4 2005. It is summed up as a 1.3 megapixel cameraphone combined with an iTunes-compatible handset. However, Motorola does not have any exclusive deals with Apple regarding the iTunes software. The vice president of Motorola's mobile devices group in Europe was also quoted as stating that Motorola is "committed to have iTunes as the default music client, but [they're] also continue to support other music players such as RealPlayer."

Tech site engadget reports that Motorola's new phone is "a quad-band 3G cellphone that's compatible with both WCDMA and GSM networks, and features a 2-inch, 240x320, 262,000 color LCD screen, a VGA camera for making video phone calls, a 1.3 megapixel camera for taking still pics, a TransFlash memory card slot, and multimedia software for playing back and streaming MPEG4, WMV, WMA, MP3, AAC+, and Real audio and video files."
