Microsoft Saying Windows 64 to Come in April
Posted :: Mar 2, 2005 by Haggs

According to CNET:

"SAN FRANCISCO--Microsoft said it plans next month to offer long-awaited 64-bit versions of its Windows operating system.

"Windows chief Jim Allchin said the desktop version of the souped-up Windows would come at the beginning of April, while the server version would come at the end of the month."

Operating systems lisences aren't cheap, so the question now becomes whether or not it is worth the money for the upgrade? We'll have to wait and see the features and benchmarks after release to make that decision.
