a new era in hard drives: Perpendicular data storage. They claim this method of storing information will lead to 20gb microdrives and 1 terabit 3.5 inch drives by 2007. This could very well push Hitachi into the desktop hard drive market even further (and greatly expand the capacity of all hard drives). To promote the new Perpendicular technique, they have released a flash animation with a song, and a description of how it works. Not going to ruin it all for you, but it involves a school-house rock style, and a bit of disco. Awesome.">
