Google.org, Google's Philanthropic Arm
Posted :: Apr 16, 2005 by Haggs

Google has pressed for rapid growth ever since their initial public offering (IPO) in 2004. They have introduced larger Gmail email boxes which now exceeded 2 GB per user. On top of the infamous Gmail, Google has begun working on their maps program to compete with the popular Mapquest, as well as a taxi ride finder which currently works only in select cities. To find out what other projects Google has up their sleeve, check out Google Labs.

It seems like the staff over at Google never cease to make the lives of people everywhere just that much easier. Recently, Google has posted some information on Google.org stating that Google.org is to be the future philanthropic arm of Google. According to Google:

"We are currently working on staffing as well as defining the goals, priorities, and principles of Google.org. We hope to have a lot more to share with you on this front in the coming year. Check back [to Google.org] for updates."

If Google continues to pursue its beta programs and philanthropic generosity, they could easily rise to the top of the charts as the most popular internet company of all time.
