According to InfoWorld, "Advanced Micro Devices will launch the first dual-core version of its Athlon 64 desktop processor at Taiwan's Computex trade show on May 31." While there are still very limited gaming applications for a dual core processor, they have and will become an increasingly important part of server systems.
