Valve has opened the Counter-Strike source beta!

The first phase of the Counter-Strike: Source beta has opened at cyber cafes that subscribe to the Valve Cyber Cafe Program. A full listing of participating cafes.

ahh, thats kinda what i thought, we should try and hit up one of those places before school starts, im gunna have lots of free time during the days the next week and a half or so

as long as its not TOO realistic where like

::leg shot:: you can no longer walk

::arm shot:: find med pack and bandage that arm before you bleed to death!

::your gun has jammed:: hit an assortmant of Reload and Use keys to clean gun

America's Army.
Just search in google, youll find it.. FPS, very similar to CS, except more realistic... Real guns, real clip size, real accuracy, etc.

actually CS is pretty accurate to real life gun wise

not at all..
Very few of the guns have accurate clips...
Also not in other aspects, you can take 3-4 shots from some guns and still aim/run right... you dont see that happening in real life =P

i think that they should make an option for servers, to set realism higher or lower. sometimes realism is good, other times i just feel like shooting stuff up. maybe an on/off option. when its off, getting shot doesnt affect you pretty much at all, except hp. maybe even make recoil a little bit less as well or something else. when its on, recoil is worse, when ya get shot, have the area hit be effected, i.e. leg makes you limp, arm makes your gun wobble. and make the recoil of the gun worse. things like that
