| ATI takes the lead! As we were shown what could be done with nvidia's card on a rediculously over high end machine recieving 14,000+ marks in 3dmark03, we see ATI recieve a score of 15, 500+ marks, making that a new world record! |

| I'm still waiting for HL-2 release. I don't really care which card benches best in synthetic marks if it loses in the one game I plan to play to death with it. This will also give both nVidia and ATI some time to tweak their drivers too. |

Yeah, since ATI had the free HL2 with the purchase of a 9600XT, and ive read in a few articles that HL2 is being optimized to run better with HL2 as they are implementing the 3Dc compression method into it It is smart to wait though, but im just too impatient, hehe |

| Funny how both nVidia and ATI are slapping their logo left and right on games these days. |

Hehe, very true, i see your point there. And you know what, screw the damn cards! I am waiting! Once again... for the fourth time... But im going to wait! at least until HL2 comes out, like you said tak. It sounds like a good idea. I may have my little TI but it still runs the current games pretty decently not as decent as id like, but oh well! |

| Its always a tough call.. wait or buy. I have a hard time myself. Ya just gotta pick some priorities and stick with them. Don't let me tell you what your priorities should be, decide them for yourself ^_^. |

ATI is a surprising little company. They have pulled off a coup that succesfully dethroned Nvidia, and they have managed to hold them at bay yet again. Nvidia cant be considered out though. They do have a very important advantage; their 6800 chip still isnt maxed out in its performance and features. The R420 was maxed out to beat Nvidia, meaning that in the short term, ATI has the advantage. Nvidia however just might manage to pull ahead of the ATI card. Then again, this is all just speculation, after all |

| as a retaliation to ATI's card, Nvidia did the dumbest thing they probably could have. They put a 10% overclock on some of their cards and Called it the ultra extreme, and apparently a 10% overclock means ou should pay $100 more for it. And in most tests ATI still matches or beats the ultra extreme, and its not even overclocked yet... This is just turning out to be a cut-throat battle between Nvidia and ATI, and it doesnt look prety in the eye of the confused consumer |

ATI kinda does that too though.. it goes both ways. The Radeon XXXX Pro vs XT.. the Geforce XXXX vs Geforce XXXX ultra...

| winner really depends on the benches you put it in, and what settings, cause I've seen it go both ways. |

| The benchies without AA and Aniso and lower resolutions, Nvidia matches/wins, but if you wanna make things look pretty, ATI takes the lead by a lot |

| again it depends on what bench program though, you have some benches (with and without AA) where nVidia blows away the x800XT and some where ATI does the same... |

| Oh i see what your saying, hmmm, real game results ave been tried with both cards straight out of the box, idk if you read it, the review is at HardOPC and ATI def. wins there. They tested the cards to max graphics with the most playable framerates and ATI got huge brownie points there, hehe. I dont really trust benchies any more, i like to see real future game resultes, lke farcry and HL2 and Doom III kind of stuff. Which i cant wait to see the results on HL2 and Doom III, hehehe |

| Synthetic benchmarks have always been questionable in a lot of people's minds. Ya just gotta take everything with a grain of salt. |
