AMD outsells Intel in US retail for the first time
San Diego (CA) - AMD scored a major win against Intel during the back-to-school season. According to Current Analysis, AMD outsold Intel for the very first time in US retail over the period of a whole month. More than half of all computer systems US stores sold during September carried an AMD processor.
I can't believe it happened really. Intel has dominated the market for so many years, and has such a vast network of partners. Kudos to AMD for finally penetrating Intel's fortress. In the end, consumers win when we see this kind of competition. |

quite impressive
Especially because some places (like Dell) refuse to stock AMD. |

| I'm sure they don't stock AMD because they're getting some insane deal from Intel for selling exclusively Intel. Kinda like the University of Minnesota and their Coca-Cola partnership. |
