Movie Review :: The Fly *UPDATED*
This movie is a 1986 remake of “The Fly” (1958), which stared Vincent Price. Overall, I have to say this movie is the best “remake” I have ever seen, as well as an “all time classic.”

Arctic Cooling - Arctic Fan 8 Review
Arctic Cooling sent us another item from their latest line of products. Just released were the Arctic Fan 8, and the AF. Both fufill the same job as a case fan. The AF is a more traditional, square, blocky, normal looking case fan. The Arctic Fan however follows the new style of Arctic Cooling's fans. If you look back at our review of the Freezer 64 Pro, you can see the struts that Arctic Cooling has started using on the corners of fans to dampen vibrations.

See Through Clothes?
While this is completely off topic to our normal selection of news and reviews, I thought this warranted a posting. While browsing BBSpot (a great satire site), I found a link to Kaya Optics (Warning: link work appropriate, but not all of the site), which really creeped me out. From everything I looked at on the site, it seemed to be legit, however I'm no expert in optics.

While I can see some potential uses (mostly along the lines of the current "anti-terrorism" epidemic), putting detectors in airports and such, I can also forsee a whole lot of completely inappropriate uses being exploited.

Anyone have any input?

Movie Review :: Doom
For the faint of heart, the genre is enough to make them run. Will the movie adaptation of our beloved Doom make us run as well?

Arctic Cooling NVSilencer 5
One of the latest video card cooling systems to hit the market from Arctic Cooling, the NVSilencer 5, was put to the test by the Absolute Insight staff on nVidia’s 6800GT card. The NVSilencer 5 is designed to effectively cool an nVidia 6800, 6800GT or 7800. Many of nVidia’s cards, namely the 6800 and 7800, are put to the test by overclockers and gaming enthusiasts everywhere. While running the latest demanding applications such as Half-Life 2, Doom 3, F.E.A.R, etc. video cards are pushed to their limits and often operate at 100% capacity. Such intense applications cause the video card to heat up fast. Even though the stock coolers found on these cards are usually sufficient, they limit overclockability.

*AI Under Development*
As many of you may have already noticed, the content has been rolling out less frequently over the past few months. Impact and I have not forgotten about AI, far from it in fact. There is a lot going on behind the scenes. More details will be released as progress is made.

The World of Computer Graphics
Have you ever looked at an advertisement and wondered, “How did the artist do that?” Or have you watched the latest Pixar movie and left the theater in awe and thought to yourself, “How can such a movie be created?” Or Perhaps you were just surfing the Internet and came across a well designed template and spent the rest of your day scratching your head about how it was constructed. All of these situations involve a similar world: Computer Graphics, or sometimes referred to as GFX. The use and popularity of computer graphics (CG) has grown a lot over the past ten years, and it is being used all over the place in magazines, TV, Internet, billboards, and even in family photos.
